Abstract:
Redundant brushless drive in which the brushless motor is wound with redundant set of bifilar winding and sensors. These sets can be energized, operated and configured independently. Therefore, in case of any recoverable fault any another pair of winding-sensor from two different sets can be connected in close loop control system. Following paper describes the design details of adaption of the standard bifilar winding to achieve double redundancy, the integration of the redundant sensor system and their configuration flexibility.
