Abstract:
Future energy systems will need to be able to activate the flexibility of local consumers and producers to ensure a stable operation of the grid infrastructure. Time-variable tariffs for both withdrawal and feed-in into the grids have been shown to stimulate system friendly behavior on smallest scales. This work proposes and improves a simplified dynamic two-step tariff for end-consumers based on the course of the EEX Day Ahead electricity market. The structural composition of the tariff was analyzed within four scenarios with varying hightariff times per day. The results were discussed by feeding them to a simulated CHP. The resulting runtime schedules of the CHP are then compared to its optimal system friendly operation when fed the highly variable EEX spot market price. The results show that when trading off tariff complexity against flexibility potential and financial gains for the end-user, a monthly adapted tariff is the best choice.
