Abstract:
Traditional multilevel inverters use a centralized control unit. This paper proposes a decentralized structure of the control and management inside of a cascaded H-Bridge multilevel inverter for battery storage units. Relevant modulation techniques, management functions and cybernetic principles will be presented. Based on the cybernetic system theory a decentralized management architecture is proposed that leads to a modular and scalable system structure.
