Abstract:
This paper introduces a new airborne Ka-band DBF-SAR-GMTI system. The system has two working modes: High Resolution (HR) imaging mode and GMTI mode. In HR imaging mode, the system works in strip mode using large bandwidth to achieve Ka band high resolution SAR images. In GMTI mode, the receiving antenna of the demonstrator is divided into 24 channels. Three receiving antennas in azimuth are set to realize GMTI, and for each azimuth antenna, eight sub-apertures are arranged in elevation to obtain higher gain by DBF-SCORE processing. Airborne flight tests were accomplished successfully and some results of HR mode and GMTI mode are given in this paper respectively.
