Abstract:
In this paper, a new method for deducing the apparent trace function of moving target with arbitrary motion in circular synthetic aperture radar (SAR) imagery is developed and applied to analyze the target with linear motion. Ground and radar coordinate system are used. The parametric function of target’s curved shape in SAR image is obtained by combining the Range Doppler equations and coordinate system transformation. By analyzing the apparent trace functions can help design new algorithm for target detection and motion parameters estimation in circular SAR. The proposed method is validated by point target simulation.
