Abstract:
SAR systems meet the demanding needs of security applications with SAR/GMTI output information. Outputs of SAR systems are need to be improved via advanced post-processing techniques for applications such as moving target (e.g. vehicle, pedestrian) and threat activity detection on ground. Firstly, advanced clutter suppression techniques to improve GMTI detection performance are studied. Secondly, ground-placed wire detection is observed both with airborne and ground-based SAR systems. Lastly, threat activity detection on terrain with airborne SAR is presented. The data used within this paper are acquired with SARPER (exp TM) Airborne SAR System and experimental ground-based SAR system, both developed by ASELSAN.
