Abstract:
Jiuzhai-Huanglong Airport, Sichuan, China located on the eastern margin of Qinghai-Tibet Plateau and developed in rugged terrain is characterized by high frequency and intensity of seismic activity, high altitude, and high filling. The assessment and understanding of potential risk of the airport is of vital importance. In this study, small Baseline Subset (SBAS) technology has been used and was proven to be effective to quantify long-term surface deformation of the airport. DInSAR technique detected the airport deformation before and after two major earthquakes occurred in the region. The airport deformation was highly correlated with the local geological settings.
