Abstract:
The increasing interest in spaceborne bi-static SAR missions and the new opportunities they can create has led to the development of a new set of processing solutions. After a quick overview of the state of the art of bi-static SAR focusing this paper presents an analysis and a comparison of three possible solutions and their applicability to different geometric configurations of the involved satellites. Analyzed solutions include simple adaptation of the standard W-k focusing algorithm [1] to purely numerical implementations [4,5,8,10] that are able to manage also complex bi-static configurations. The analysis has been performed keeping as reference the SAOCOM-CS mission geometries.
