Abstract:
Precise slant range formulation for large integration time and efficient image formation algorithm are two main difficulties that constrain the development of GPS-based bi-static SAR. In this paper, the applicable integration time length of the modified equivalent squint range model (MESRM) is validated for GPS-based bi-static SAR. Based on the MESRM, an image formation algorithm is proposed for GPS-based bi-static SAR. Finally, an experiment was conducted using an angle reflector as target to confirm the feasibility of the proposed algorithm.
