Abstract:
Classical linear trajectory geometry of synthetic aperture radar (SAR) is not accurate enough for the advanced configurations, e.g. bistatic, medium-high orbit, geosynchronous, geostationary, ultra high resolution. As a consequence, the applications of SAR theories like the simulations and focusing algorithms based on the linear trajectory assumption are also seriously restricted. In this paper, SAR geometry with the curved trajectory, related models and parameters are built and derived. Comparison between the classical and modified theories is carried out. The accuracy of the modified geometry, models and derivations are validated with the simulating experiments.
