The imaging mode of spaceborne radar discusses. The paper describes an approach of the data collection method for extended terrain with an arbitrary orientation relative to direction of the spacecraft's motion. The estimation of the expected size and spatial resolution of the resulting radar images is studied. Shows the possibility to further improve the spatial resolution in the case of application the multi-channel SAR modes with the digital beamforming.
