Abstract:
Previously, we proposed optimization methods for scattering mechanism vectors in polarimetric interferometric synthetic aperture radar (PolInSAR). The methods, namely Pixel-by-Pixel Optimization (PPO) and its modification for considering Baseline Difference (PPO-BD), assume that a scattering mechanism vector varies for every pixel while traditional methods regard it homogeneous in specific area. In this paper, we analyse how the optimization methods work in small and large temporal baselines to study how and why a scattering mechanism vector is unique not only to every pixel but to master and slave SAR images.
