Abstract:
Compressive sensing (CS) is a technique which stresses that sparse signals can be reconstructed from fewer samples than required by the Nyquist-Shannon sampling theorem. Lately, the trend of increasing the signal processing complexity for alleviating the requirement of a high acquisition rate of several Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) processing techniques has settled in, and CS is suitable for this purpose. The main goal of this article is the analysis of a CS algorithm applied to SAR data of sparse ground scenes, acquired through bistatic SAR systems. We implement the Orthogonal Matching Pursuit (OMP) and apply it to bistatic range-compressed SAR data to reconstruct the ground reflectivity.
