Abstract:
The number of sensors used for IoT applications is increasing rapidly. Especially for home applications gas sensors become of high interest to detect the indoor air quality (IAQ). Several technologies are available for this detection and we identified Metal Oxide (MOx) gas sensors the best choice due to very low power consumption, small size, high sensitivity and best price due to high volume production. This article gives an insight to the MOx gas sensor technology of Integrated Device Technology (IDT) and how to build an indoor air quality system for an IoT application.
