Abstract:
Flow sensors are used in different applications to measure the flow rate in lab on a chip systems, pipes or flow profiles. The working principle of thermoresistive flow sensor as used in this work is well known. However, printed flow sensors have not been presented in literature much yet. We present a flow sensor printed on a 6micrometer thin PET foil using screen printing technology and a carbon-based ink. The characterization of our sensor shows the typical behavior of a membrane based thermal flow sensor.
