Abstract:
The number of sold collaborative robots rises from year to year. More and more of those robots are used for handling tasks and for handling applications vacuum technology plays a significant role. This contribution depicts the use of vacuum grippers in handling processes and how it can be used in combination with collaborative robots. Due to their structure vacuum grippers are easy to design or adapt for HRC-applications and offer advantages over other gripping technologies especially when it comes to large work pieces.
