Abstract:
Employing 1-bit quantization in the massive multiple-input-multiple-output (MIMO) systems, enhances the system power efficiency. Novel precoder designs like maximum safety margin (MSM) precoder are required to handle the distortions that are caused by the 1-bit quantization and deteriorate the bit-error-ratio (BER) performance. We extend the MSM precoder design to the 1-bit quantized downlink multi-user (MU) multipleinput- single-output orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (MISO-OFDM) system in which PSK modulation scheme is used. The transmit vector design is based on maximizing the margin of the received symbols to the decision thresholds of the PSK modulation schemes. The simulation results are compared with the zero-forcing (ZF) precoder.
