Abstract:
The grid traffic light concept is an approach for the coordination of flexible units in distribution grids. The implementation and testing of this concept is addressed in the project grid-control. A quota model and a decentralized automation system are developed and introduced for the yellow and red traffic light phase. Both are tested and evaluated in a field test in a medium and low voltage grid section located in southern Germany. The results show that congestion can be efficiently avoided by the quota model. Furthermore, enhanced control methods for aggregated feed-in management can be demonstrated.
