Abstract:
Laboratory tests predominantly use hardware devices, which leads to restricted testing scenarios with limited equipment. By integrating realistic simulation models, the range of applications can be significantly increased without making costintensive investments in new equipment. Therefore, a modular control environment called ModSys-eelabs was integrated into the institute’s own laboratory environment elenia-energy-labs (eelabs). In this way, hardware devices and simulation models can be used together in laboratory tests if required. The design of the modular control environment is presented after a general introduction to the topic with regard to the basic elements. Two different use cases are described to demonstrate the variability of the laboratory control system. In the first example, the demonstrator environment for a multifunction inverter for use in prosumer households is presented as part of the NetProsum2030 research project. The second application case describes an application-oriented storage efficiency test based on the storage efficiency guideline.
