Abstract:
Based on electrooptic waveplates in X-cut, Z-propagation LiNbO3, we present a device to generate, or prepare analysis of, polarization states for quantum key distribution. 6 (diamond), 8 (cube) or 20 (dodecahedron) vertices are generated on the Poincaré sphere, with insertion loss of just 2.2 dB.
