Abstract:
The inverter-based power generation equipment has the advantages of flexibility and efficiency, but its stability challenges can also not be ignored. Multiple cases have been observed, in which the inverter became unstable after fault clearing during operation after successful testing in the test laboratory. Based on the analysis of the stability mechanism of inverter-grid system, this paper puts forward the stability criterion of the oscillation phenomenon and the instability phenomenon during low voltage ride-through. This paper proves that the existing test methods can be insufficient. Also a test method and test equipment based on power hardware-in-the-loop is proposed to carry out a comprehensive and credible stability test for inverter based power generation equipment.
