This paper proposes an integrated solution for a wireless power transfer employed a rotary transformer. The latter is designed for a Brushless Wound Rotor Synchronous Machine in order to supply the rotor coils. The rotary transformer is made out of a molded ferrite material for the magnetic core and PCB embedded dies for the converter circuit. The result is a compact and robust solution fitting with the volume constraint of the motor case. The paper is focusing on the assembly of the rotary transformer as well as the volume optimization.
