Abstract:
NEMOFASER, an interdisciplinary research group, is dedicated to find a methodology for the design of an axial flux machine with electrical excited fiber-composite rotor. In this paper, both the system approach of the whole machine and the approach for the power electronic units are described. Regarding electronics, the focus lies on the electrical, magnet-ic and thermal design and integration of the brushless power supply for rotor-sided excitation winding, using a rotary transformer combined with an CLLLC converter. Furthermore, the stator power supply is regarded as well.
