Abstract:
Multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) synthetic aperture radar (SAR) concept is an advanced imaging mode for the next generation of SAR mission because it can provide more degrees of freedom for dramatically improving SAR system performance. And the most technical challenge is the echo separation of different transmit antennas. In this paper, a novel spaceborne MIMO-SAR imaging scheme based on an advanced waveform named segmental-phase-code (SPC) waveform is proposed. Furthermore, for the verification of this MIMO-SAR image mode, an airborne DBF-SAR system operated by IECAS will serve as a test bed.
