Abstract:
Range ambiguity seriously deteriorates the SAR image quality and it can be effectively improved by the selective suppression of sidelobe level (SLL). The paper proposes a modified method using mask templates when combines genetic algorithm (GA) and projection matrix algorithm (PMA). Different from the past articles, the mask and antenna pattern will be optimized at the same time and the convergence speed will be more adjustable. The simulation results show that although the constraint of the mask templates on the antenna pattern is reduced in the new method, the RASR is still effectively optimized.
