Abstract:
The shift of power generation from transmission systems (TS) to distribution systems (DS) during the power system transition to a more ecological system, causes high utilizations of the TS over short distances driven by the power exchange of neighboring DS. A solution could be the direct horizontal power exchange on DS level using controllable DClinks. However, this requires a DSO-DSO-TSO coordination to define suitable setpoints for the DC-link. This manuscript concentrates on a coordination process and introduces a new approach to operate in optimal conditions to ensure the maximum benefits for the DSOs and the maximum relieve of the TS at the same time using individual flexible grid fees for the DC-links. The coordination process is discussed in chapter 2 and the proposed approach is introduced in chapter 3 and examined within a numerical case study.
