Abstract:
This paper presents revised results of a study on the reactive power potential of distribution networks of the southern German state Baden-Württemberg for reactive power provision to the transmission network in the control area of TransnetBW GmbH for the year 2030. Within the scope of the study, a total of six different scenarios were investigated. These differ in terms of the reactive power capability of decentralized energy resources and with regard to the voltage levels included in the reactive power management system. The basis for the procedure of the study is a new methodology for determining the reactive power potential of distribution networks in a larger sub-survey area.
