Abstract:
Adapting existing machine designs according to customer specific requirements is a typical daily task in industry. Although the drive system consists of existing components there is still a huge variety of combinations to explore, especially if load cycles need to be considered. However, hence in the case of synchronous reluctance machines no analytical procedures with sufficient precision are available, it is mandatory to rely on time-consuming finite element (FE) simulations. By preparing the required data in a way presented in this paper for each component beforehand, using a high precision multiphysics FE approach, it becomes possible to significantly reduce the computational effort in daily use.
