Abstract:
In this paper, we study a NOMA user scheduling and resource allocation problem for a downlink MISO mmWave system. The larger number of packed antennas and the highly directional property of mmWave communications allow directional beamforming to achieve spatial diversity. We aim to optimize the user clustering, service scheduling, and power allocation, for maximizing the proportional fairness (PF) among the users in achieving the multiuser diversity and multiplexing gain. In the meantime, we approximate the PF power allocation problem by a sequence of Geometric Programming (GP) problems which can be solved iteratively. Simulation results have shown the effectiveness of the proposed MISO-NOMA scheme.
