Abstract:
This work evaluates the improvements in mobile connectivity when aggregating multiple cellular networks. Therefore, measurements of the networks of all three German cellular providers were performed on selected test routes. Moreover, statistical connections between the networks of the three providers are examined. It is shown that packet loss can be considerably reduced and network coverage with LTE can be increased by aggregating several providers.
