Abstract:
Simulations of collaborative robot application workflows can support the risk assessment process and allow users to identify potential hazards at early stages of development. However, simulation-based risk assessment still has a number of open challenges, including the modelling of human workers. In industrial context, human models have been used primarily for ergonomics studies, while risk assessment has a different focus. This paper discusses the requirements on a human model in this context and presents an approach that supports the user to easily define and simulate human actions in a collaborative robot application.
