Abstract:
We propose a simplified intradyne receiver for polarization-insensitive detection with half the receiver bandwidth of conventional heterodyne scheme. Simulations confirm 43.8 dB optical budget for 100-Gb/s signals transmitted through 20km-SMF in C-band. In addition, we conduct world’s first demonstration of simplified intradyne coherent detection.
