Abstract:
This paper examines the accuracy of a grid state identification in a real low-voltage grid, which is required from 2029 in in accordance with Section 14a of the German Energy Industry Act for control interventions for controllable energy-consuming devices in LV grids. A real low-voltage grid in Kiel was equipped with measurement devices to evaluate the accuracy of the grid state identification for different measurement strategies with measurements from four cable distribution cabinets in the grid used as the true grid state. It is shown, that voltage measurements in the grid substantially increase the accuracy. The findings indicate that, with this grid state identification, a measurement at the transformer and a modest number of voltage measurements in the grid are sufficient to determine the grid state.
