Abstract:
Operating low-voltage grids at the edge of their operational limits can help to integrate more powerful loads and genera-tors, such as photovoltaic systems, electric vehicles or heat pumps, and thus help to avoid grid expansions. This requires optimized grid operation. Therefore, the current state of the grid must be known. Reliable grid parameters are a prerequi-site for an accurate state estimation. The objective of this paper is to investigate the practical feasibility of grid parameter estimation and to analyze its impact on a state estimation and an optimized power flow in low-voltage grids. The methods are tested and validated against a physical grid model.
