Systematic comparison of the smoothing effects of load profiles

Abstract:
The study investigates the impact of various smoothing effects on electrical load profiles, in particular through grouping, storage and time averaging. The aim is to create a systematic comparison of these effects with regard to their influence on the simultaneity factor and PV self-consumption. The analysis is based on high-resolution measurement data, including from a smart meter rollout, and is intended to provide transferable, quantifiable findings for grid operation and the energy industry.
