Abstract:
The integration of renewable energy generation at all voltage levels is leading to a shift from traditional top-down power flows to active distribution grids. Ensuring safe and reliable grid operation requires a high degree of digitalisation. As part of this digitalisation, the volume of data streams is rapidly increasing, making it critical to harmonize and efficiently process this data. A promising solution is the use of Digital Twins with a Single Source of Truth (SSoT). This paper presents a possible implementation of a Digital Twin for a local low-voltage distribution grid, including the necessary data interfaces and the deployment of measurement devices within the low-voltage grid. Measurement data is fed directly from the instruments to the Digital Twin. The developed Digital Twin and its interfaces will be used to recommend actions for operators based on the outputs generated by the Digital Twin.
