Data-driven Congestion Forecast at Distribution Grid Level

Abstract:
With the introduction of the data-driven congestion forecast, the Redispatch 2.0 forecast processes at Westnetz as a dis-tribution system operator are enhanced with new capabilities for predictive congestion detection. Using the congestion forecast, which is trained based on historical data, grid congestions are already detected beforehand, enabling targeted information to all involved market participants about upcoming Redispatch activations.
