Abstract:
This paper presents an approach for automatically and systematically dividing a city into urban districts. The classification is made on the model of energetic settlement types. Based on the classification, statements about the future development of energy sources in the heating sector and other technologies, such as photovoltaic systems and charging stations, are to be made possible and evaluated in the context of the heating transition. The approach is based on building and heat consumption data, aiming to pursue a method that is as simple and optimal as possible. By integrating systematic data analysis with geographic information systems, the approach provides a scalable foundation for holistic energy infrastruc-ture planning.
