Abstract:
The paper addresses the problem of identifying the active users in the downlink of a W-CDMA system and of using them in an interference canceller. A new simple algorithm is described for users’ identification that exploits the generating tree of Walsh-Hadamard sequences, and its effectiveness shown on the multiuser cancellation for the UMTS system downlink.
