Abstract:
This paper describes the main activities of the Celtic Encompas (Enabling Community Communications – Platforms and Applications) project which consist in creating an open cross European initiative to speed up the deployment of new networked products and advanced applications or services at home. Therefore, different actions are necessary to be taken at the technical dimension (application, service provisioning platforms…) and at the user dimension (application co-design and user experiences).These results will be validated on a Pan European test-bed which will include lab tests and field trials with users.
