Abstract:
In this paper we address the challenge of Quality of Service (QoS) in future networks combined with customer needs. The motivation is given by Marcus Aurelius’ in “The Meditations”: “Constantly and, if it be possible, on the occasion of every impression on the soul, apply to it the principles of Physic, of Ethic, and of Dialectic.” The proposal for QoS implementation by extending the results from the Moby Dick project is covering the topic “Physics”. A discussion, how QoS and QoS control is offered to the customer, covers the “Dialectics” aspect and is done by including socio-economic aspects from the Sinus-Milieu method for Germany. “Ethics” as a topic, however, is not in the focus of this paper.
