Abstract:
In this paper predictive current control is proposed for fifth order coupled inductor boost converter. Boost converter with LC output filter makes the load current continuous. The load side inductor is coupled with the input inductor to achieve the fast dynamic response. Predictive current control law is derived through state-space average model of the converter. The control law is capable of regulating the load voltage against source and load perturbations. Performance of the control technique is verified through Simulation and experimental results.
