Abstract:
A new implementation of a non-isolated, twoinductor, two-switch boost converter topology that features a common ground for the source and load is described. The new circuit exhibits a significantly reduced common-mode noise compared to its counterpart that is implemented with separate source and load grounds. The EMI performance of the proposed implementation was experimentally verified on a 540-W prototype designed to operate with a -36-V to -72-V dc input-voltage range.
