Abstract:
The paper describes a new methology for the modelling of distributed real-time systems. The innovation is a new concept describing distributed time and clocks in such systems. This allows an elegant formulation of real-time requirements in a functional and an non functional aspect. Based on this concept a new simulator for real-time simulator for embedded systems is presented. This tool allows the simulation of distributed real-time systems with distributed time domains. The methodology allows a complete timing analysis and the verification of time dependent algorithms like synchronization mechanisms and distributed control loops.
