              Abstract:
Circuit modelling is a method of analysing interference coupling which is understandable to any equipment designer. This paper shows how models can be created to simulate the coupling between differential-mode and common-mode signals. It shows how the approach can be extended to handle the problems of radiated interference. Essentially, this involves the inclusion of a virtual conductor in the circuit to represent the inductive, capacitive, and resistive properties of the local environment. An example is provided, to demonstrate close correlation between theory and test.
