Abstract:
In this paper, an improved algorithm called the time-varying R-D algorithm is proposed. In high-squint cases, the problem of range-walk removal will hamper the direct use of the R-D algorithm. The data that lie in the same range cell (after range-walk removal) can belong to targets that are initially of greatly different slant ranges, and can not be filtered by using a constant Doppler rate. So the Doppler rate in that range cell should be time-varying. A quantitative analysis and simulations show that the new algorithm can process the SAR data with a high squint angle.
