Abstract:
In this paper, the high resolution ground clutter data, measured with the millimeter-wave SAR-system MEMPHIS in a joint Swiss-German campaign is analysed. A comparison of high and low resolution clutter characteristics for both 35 GHz and 94 GHz SAR data is presented and the influence of multi-look processing on the reflectivity statistics is discussed. In addition, a clutter analysis is carried out in the wavelet domain, as the wavelet domain is an important transform domain for the development of target recognition, terrain classification or data compression algorithms.
