Abstract:
In this work we present a SAR raw data simulator of extended scenes able to account for the effects introduced by sensor track deviations. A 1-D azimuth Fourier simulation scheme followed by a range time domain integration is proposed: this allows extending the applicability range of the 2-D Fourier simulator available in the literature to more severe track deviations and to wider range beam airborne SAR systems, at expense of computation efficiency. Anyway, the proposed simulator turns out to be still much more efficient than the time domain one.
