Abstract:
In this paper the problem of the localization of scatterers “thin” with respect to the wavelength is dealt with. The localization is performed by means of a “tomographic” inversion algorithm based on the singular value decomposition method. A new instrumentation for the measurement of scattered fields in a reflection mode configuration is presented. The instrumentation can independently move two antennas (a transmitting and a receiving one) on a x-y plane, thus allowing to perform multi-view/multi-static/multi-frequency measurements so that the inversion algorithm can benefit from the increased number of independent measurements at one’s disposal. Experimental results will be shown.
