Abstract:
This paper reports progress in a theoretical and experimental study of Space-Surface Synthetic Aperture Radar (SS-BSAR). The resolution of such systems is briefly discussed and the relevant power budget formula noted. A modification of the Range-Doppler algorithm is proposed for image acquisition, experimental equipment is briefly described, and initial results are presented.
